Highway 61 is a fusion of six musicians, each having climbed his way here through the usual film music – rock – heavy metal – cycle that most youngsters in India go through. With over seven to eight years of individual performance experience of each band member, the time felt right to make our own music. It was time to make music we believed in, music which was our voice not a reflection. It is with this intention that Highway 61 was conceived.
’We believe that it is time for us to take a stand. We are the voice of a resurgent youth and it is necessary to make our voice heard. It is time to take our future in our own hands’.
